Dear Colleagues,
By February 1, 2019, you are required to complete and file with your department Chair a report of all Category I & II outside professional activities (including certain additional UC teaching) in which you engaged during the last fiscal year, July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018. You should receive a copy of this form from your departmental academic personnel director.
In accordance with the Academic Personnel Manual sections, APM 025 and APM 671, UC requires that you complete the appropriate form for your series in an effort to assure accountability in our public university, given the substantial discretion we enjoy in structuring our work week.
APM 025: Information about filling out the form, requirements, FAQ’s, and Scenarios are available in in The UCLA CALL Appendix 19: Conflict of Commitment and Outside Professional Activities, on the Academic Personnel Office website.
APM 671: Faculty participating in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan (HSCP), are subject to APM 671 (PDF) and are not subject to APM 025, effective July 1, 2015. HSCP Faculty at the David Geffen School of Medicine must go to the OATS website to complete their reporting requirements. HSCP Faculty in the School of Dentistry may find reporting instructions and the form at the School’s Compensation Plan Documents website.
If your appointment is part-time and below 50%, or you are a lecturer governed by a Memorandum of Understanding, you need not submit a report.
