Lecturer Course Workload
For lecturers teaching a full academic year (3 quarters)
6 courses (IWC) per year = 100% for the academic year (6 IWC = 100%)
For lecturers teaching two full quarters:
4 courses (IWC) over the two quarters = 100% for each of the two quarters (4 IWC = 100%)
For lecturers teaching one quarter only:
2 courses (IWC) in the given quarter = 100% for that quarter (2 IWC = 100%)
Lower division lecture courses with sections (Classics 10, 20, 30, 40, 41, 42, 48, 51A, 51B, 60) shall count as 1 course (IWC).
• Teaching one section of one of the lower-division lecture courses listed immediately above = .5 of a course (IWC)
• Teaching the 375 course (TA supervision for that course) = .5 of a course (IWC)
Supervision of Latin 1, 2, and 3, that is, teaching the 375 TA supervision for that course =
.5 of a course (IWC) for each course.
