OUTSIDE ACTIVITY TRACKING SYSTEM (OATS)
UC OATS is a multi-campus web-based application built to facilitate the reporting and tracking of outside professional activities. It allows faculty and administrators to comply with the University of California, Office of the President (UCOP) Conflict of Commitment policies and serves as an educational tool as well. UCLA implemented UC OATS in a phased rollout which began in the Summer of 2019. As of this past summer, the campus completed its transition from a paper reporting system to UC OATS. All eligible faculty members should use UC OATS to request prior approval and report effort for outside activities.
